Marina Davydova, theatre critic, theater director, playwright and producer. Author of the monographs The End of Theatre Epoch (2005) and Culture ZERO (2017). Winner of many awards for theater criticism. Until March 2022 she was the editor-in-chief of the journal TEATR and the artistic-director of the NET- festival in Moscow In 2016 she was a programming director of Wiener Festwochen. Among the performances she has written and directed are – Eternal Russia (HAU, 2017; a Special Prize of International Jury at BITEF-2018), Checkpoint Woodstock (Thalia Theater, 2019), Museum of Uncounted Voices (premiered at Wiener Festwochen-2023). In March 2022 she was forced to leave Russia for writing an anti-militarist petition. In November 2022 she was appointed a head of drama part of Salzburger Festspiele.
